In the heart of Nashik district, Maharashtra, lies Shivadi Post in Ugaon, a place surrounded by farms, markets, and communities where every celebration is tied to food and drink. It was here, on 28th July 2004, that Ghoderao Siddharth Bhaskar was born.

Growing up in this environment, Siddharth absorbed the hospitality of everyday life. Guests were always welcomed with warmth; beverages like buttermilk, sherbet, and traditional drinks were crafted with care, even in simple households. As a boy, Siddharth noticed how people smiled after being served, how the act of offering a drink built bonds. These observations planted in him the seeds of what would later become a profession.

Unlike many children his age who dreamed of being engineers or doctors, Siddharth quietly nurtured a fascination with the art of serving, garnishing, and creating memorable experiences through beverages. This interest, unusual in his small-town setting, became his identity as he grew.

Education: From School Classrooms to Bartending Academies

Siddharth’s education began at Cha. Shivaji High School, where he proved himself to be a disciplined student. His strong performance—75% in SSC—reflected not just intelligence but also his punctuality and sincerity, traits that would define his later career in hospitality.

After high school, he moved to K.G.D.M. College in Niphad, where he completed his HSC in 2022. Though his score was modest at 46.33%, Siddharth knew his strengths lay elsewhere. Academic grades did not measure his creativity, communication, or ability to perform under pressure—qualities essential for bartending and F&B service.

Determined to refine his passion, he joined the Flair Mania Bartending Academy, one of India’s most respected institutes for professional bartenders. Here, Siddharth learned not only the technical skills of mixing cocktails, balancing flavors, and handling bar equipment but also the showmanship of bartending—the confidence to serve with flair and engage with guests. Graduating with a B+ grade in 2022, he emerged as a trained professional.

To prepare for global opportunities, he also enrolled at the Coral Maritime Institute of Learning and Development, pursuing STCW certification, a requirement for hospitality roles on luxury cruise liners. With this step, Siddharth positioned himself for an international career in hospitality, something rare for professionals from small-town Maharashtra.

The First Step: Training at BLVD Hotel, Nashik

November 2022 marked the true beginning of Siddharth’s professional journey when he joined BLVD Hotel, Nashik as a trainee in Bartending/Steward F&B Service and Food & Beverage Service.

For a young professional, stepping behind the bar for the first time is both thrilling and intimidating. At BLVD, Siddharth learned the discipline of daily operations: keeping the bar clean, ensuring glassware was spotless, measuring drinks with precision, and engaging with guests politely.

This training gave him more than just technical skills—it gave him confidence. He learned to make recommendations, assess guest preferences, and create personalized experiences. Whether serving a non-alcoholic mocktail or a classic cocktail, Siddharth understood that bartending is not just about drinks, but about making moments memorable.

Express Inn – The Business Luxury Hotel: Growth and Responsibility

By May 2023, Siddharth was ready for greater challenges, and he joined Express Inn, Nashik, as a Bartender. Over the next year and a half, until November 2024, he grew from a learner into a professional capable of handling independent responsibilities.

At Express Inn, Siddharth’s role was dynamic:

  • Mixing and Serving: He prepared cocktails, beers, and wines with precision, ensuring every drink was consistent in taste and presentation.
  • POS and Cash Handling: He operated point-of-sale systems, managed transactions, and ensured accuracy in billing.
  • Guest Interaction: He talked to guests, recommended drinks, and ensured that each one left with a positive experience.
  • Bar Organization: He kept the bar clean, well-stocked, and efficient during peak service hours.

This was also the stage where Siddharth truly experienced the pressure of bartending—weekend rushes, corporate events, and weddings where hundreds of guests expected fast, flawless service. His calm demeanor under stress became his biggest strength. Supervisors recognized his adaptability and professionalism, while guests admired his energy and hospitality.

Palm Springs Resort: Rising to Senior Bartender

In December 2024, Siddharth’s career entered a new chapter when he joined Palm Springs Resort, Nashik, as a Senior Bartender.

Now, he wasn’t just mixing drinks; he was managing responsibilities, inventory, and guest satisfaction at a higher level. His role required him to:

  • Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wines, and beverages with consistency.

Life Behind the Bar: The Craft of Mixology

For Siddharth, bartending is more than a job—it’s an art form. He believes that a bartender is not only a server but also a creator of experiences. Every cocktail is a story, every garnish an expression of creativity.

His love for garnishing sets him apart. He treats every drink as a canvas, using fresh fruits, herbs, and spices to make beverages visually stunning as well as flavorful. His attention to presentation elevates the guest’s experience, proving that bartending is a blend of technique, creativity, and hospitality.

Dancing, another of his interests, gives him rhythm and stage presence—skills that naturally flow into his work behind the bar. Guests don’t just enjoy his drinks; they enjoy his energy.
